Born in Cejkov, okr. Trebisov. Playing football started late, when he was 16
years old. Despite of that he soon became a great player. From Trebisov went to VSS

His best was a year 1974, when he became a "Czechoslovak player of the year".
"Gray" (his nickname due to his blond hair) was a very fast defender with  ability to
attack alongside right line all the way to the goal net and shoot hard as well.
Represented Czechoslovak national team 39 times and scored 1 goal. Took part
in WC 1970 (Mexico), but did not play any game.
