Anton MORAVCIK
(6. 3. 1931)
Born in Komarno, where
he started his football career in local Spartak Komarno.
Always played in attack line, he was a great shooter. His strong
abilities were velocity,
technique in movement and shooting.
First time represented
Czechoslovakia in 1952 against Romania. That time he
was dressing the jersey of Slovena
( currently MSK ) Zilina. But biggest successes
achieved in SK Slovan
Bratislava.
Represented 25
times and scored 9 goals, mostly decisive. For SK Slovan Bratislava
played ( 1956 - 1964 ) 177 Premier league matches and scored 73
goals. But his total is
109 and belongs to the "Club
of League scorers" ( over 100 goals ).
In the years of
successes of Czechoslovak national team during trainers Rygr and
Kolsky was often the only Slovak representant.
