Great technic,
quick and sharp shooter, thinking strategist on the football
field - this way talk about him people in cities Bratislava and
Trnava.
Represented
Czechoslovakia 10 times, participated in WC
1954 (Swit-
zerland).
Knee injury
(1956) forced him to quit professional football career. Since
then worked as a trainer. He was looking for a young talented players
around the
city of Trnava. In 1963 started to build a famous team of Spartak
Trnava, which
became in the year scope 1968 - 1973 Czechoslovak champion 5 times
(1968,
69, 71, 72, 73).
From his
talented players, Jozef ADAMEC, Ladislav
KUNA, Vladimir HA-
GARA, Dusan KABAT,
Karol DOBIAS, Kamil MAJERNIK, Stanislav
JARABEK,
Dusan VARADIN represented Czechoslovakia.
Trained Spartak
Trnava until 1976, after that became a trainer of FC den
Haag (Netherlands), and later trained SK
Slovan Bratislava.
In 1998 stadium
of Spartak Trnava was named on his honor "stadium of
Anton MALATINSKY".
