He was given a football, I can say "right into his crib". His
father was a great football player ( Batany - Partizanske ) and
gave his son Karol a great technical foundations. Karol was a
player with high football intelligence, always making up different
situations on the football field.
        His football thinking was very unpredictable and he had a
great left foot. Great constructor and passer, on which will always
remember his teammate from SK Slovan Bratislava Jan Capkovic.
         In the year 1963 came as junior to SK Slovan Bratislava and
till spring 1975, when he left to Prievidza on his account was 238
Premier league matches and 68 goals. For national team of Cze-
choslovakia had played 27 matches and scored 11 goals.

          Now, Karol Jokl has been one of my favorite Slovak players,
but during 70 - ties sometimes I use to dislike him. The reason was,
that he use to play for Slovan Bratislava a big city rival of ASK Inter
Bratislava I have been a huge fan of (That time I would love to have
him on my favoriteteam roster that means Inter).
           I "disliked" him most in year 1975, when he was the main link
in the victory of SK Slovan Bratislava over ASK Inter Bratislava in the
last Premier league round 1974/75. In case of victory, Inter would have
become a Czechoslovak champion. Because it lost, finished second
after Slovan. But anyway, that was a nice feeling - 2 slovak teams the
best teams in Czechoslovakia.
